First Day Of Fall

Today is the first day of fall. Where has the summer gone? This has been a very hectic summer for me. My husband and I were living in an apartment in Harvard, Illinois in March of this year. Then due to finding a job in Kansas City, we packed up and moved to another apartment in Kansas City. After moving in, we decided that it was time to settle down and find our own house. So after a few month search we found the house that we were soon going to call home. It is a beautiful three bedroom split level house. Like all houses, it needed some TLC. So we started painting and doing a little remodeling the beginning of August.
Living 7 hours away from my family had gotten me out of many family functions in the past, but now living just a couple hours away, half of my weekends this summer had been spent at birthday parties, wedding showers, baby showers and anniversary parties. So between fixing up the house and going to family events, my summer is now gone, with no vacation to account for.
But on the bright side of things, we are planning a nice vacation in Branson in November. I have been to Branson a few times now, and it is a very relaxing place to go. Everyone there makes you feel like your at home, and will try their best to help you anyway they can. I have never been to Branson in November, but I have been reading that they have a big County Christmas Celebration that started November 6th. I love Christmas, and can't wait to find out what they will have in store!
Until next time, always look on the bright side of things!
